Re: Silverymoon and you
Well, we have heard a lot of different views. And for the most part, I like seeing us close to canon, and not using anything as a crutch where a more intuitive and intelligent solution can be utilized. Some people fall on one side of the question, and others oppose it. I still see it as one of those 'yes and' things. I don't we think we live in the same community or game of yester-era. There have been trends toward opening content up,and to updating and experimenting with it. Yes, there is a mythal, and yes it keeps out evil, and if you have a ring of mind shielding, mind blank, perhaps sneak, disguise, and invisibility as well give you a slight chance to bypass it. Extended residence will increase your likelihood of being caught. Moreover, you cause chaos, you go on the black list, and then it acts like the current cart-blanche blockade. That loitering orc, or one-character rampage is unwelcome, but not all mischief need be banned. I at least find the idea of a rogue sneaking in and instigating a goodie into getting themselves kicked out of the city for a short time, amusing. Though not everyone will agree, I am glad at least there was a discussion over the idea.

Eh... I'd rather see more evil areas be added to balance the force, not starting closing down content for the good. Besides, the good are generally the type of people that evils use and manipulate to further their ends. I can't see many tyrannical cities barring access to anyone, unless the person was actively causing trouble for them (like a Lathandarian priest jumping up on his soap box to preach in the middle of ZK's market square).Kinni wrote:I'm all for keeping Silverymoon closed, but their needs to be balance. Perhaps a few of the regular denizens of Zhentil Keep begin working on a ward to keep out goods?

Re: Silverymoon and you
Keeping good or evil characters away from their counterparts can only ever reduce opportunities for RP. I'd rather see less of that than more. (There's few enough people ever in the Keep anyway.)
Re: Silverymoon and you
This is a great point, but at this moment if a goodly person sought safety from an evil enemy, all he/she need do is tear off to Silverymoon. There's no such place of promised safety for any evil, and such a place might be beneficial for low-level evils who can often become the targets of attacks.Rhangalas wrote: Eh... Actually even if there wasn't any entry restriction to good characters to an evil temple, a follower of <insert goodly deity> should know better than entering a temple of <very bad evil deity>, but this isn't the point.Kinni wrote: This is a great point, but at this moment if a goodly person sought safety from an evil enemy, all he/she need do is tear off to Silverymoon. I don't think that it would be fair to all evil characters that only a very small subset of them could enter Silverymoon, what I would do would be giving evil characters an equally restricted area or access to whatever equipment/trainers they are seeking in Silverymoon elsewhere.
