Which is why novels aren't technically canon.

Cunningham often twists things, I love her writing but she often never pays attention to details.

There is dozens of things within elves of evermeet that you can find.

But they are entertaining overall at least.

So... was the house ruling here ever decided upon, does anyone know what it is?

I think that shows how far removed from the elven psyche you would have to be to abandon reverie...

Actually, most drow still go into Reverie or choose between Reverie and 'human sleep' depending on their situation and surroundings at the time. Different experience than their surface cousins of course, but still referred to as Reverie. A place where they relive past events, seek answers to difficult questions, commune with the devine, ect ect. Many Drow in written novels have been written sleeping and entering Reverie, quick example: War of the Spider Queen Series (Six great books). I would list others, but I'm tired and cannot recall the series names.

House ruling on which; who can enter reverie? House rules-wise, my half-elf participated in an IMM-run RP a few years back which started with her god 'visiting her' while in reverie, so if that was a problem I think it would have been noted then. (That half-elf has always entered reverie, though my others sleep.)

As there are established, canon (non-novel) examples of both drow and half-elves entering reverie, I don't think it is even a question that some drow enter reverie. Most of the ones I know in Menzo seem to sleep, though.

I think I am of the oppinion that. . .like most things in FK. . .that if it makes for a good scene and good RP then. . .who cares?

I mean the rules are such that they are open for interprtation, so why not let the half elf or even the drow have that moment?

For the half elf it could be a moment of exclusion, where s/he can tap her own dreams but is barred from the whole, and for a drow, well their dreams could be so horrific in the case of an evil drow, that they may not WANT to enter it.
