Ailyn of Mystra will be hosting a few lessons on spells to those who wish for a short time. If interested, she will be meeting any wishing for a lesson in the gardens of Waterdeep, next to the pond. These will be actual lessons, for spells of up to 6th tier and at Ailyn's discretion to teach, and is only meant for those of a goodly nature. This is a sudden announcement, and sudden planning, so it will be kept short but if things run over do to interest, it may be extended.

A rasping shout heralds through the streets wrote: You who would test your mettle, you who would reach for glory, you who would give yourself to the defense of goodly folk, I call upon you each!
Let us our steel gather upon this coming sixthday, the fifth day of Mirtul, to join steel, spell, and prayer against a foe whose might is a thing of legend, whose reign has been left too long unchallenged. Bare your faces--bare them!--to the horror of true battle, and yet stand firm and fight! Victory is no garuntee, but show your tenacity, your valor, and your honor true, and your deaths will be little to the glory your name will know. Man and woman, warrior and spellslinger, young and old... to arms!
OOC:
Time here. We'll take on the target as many times as desired for the sake of everyone getting loot/glory if needed and applicable. We'll need a full and powerful group--if one doesn't show, we might find other things to do.

To those able to visit Zhentil Keep:
A Halfling bard shall be holding a surprise performance (a skit) at Zhentil Keep's market square/central plaza (whichever that was called). The location is such because the riverside theatre is currently off-limits to his use, as he has yet to pass admission tests into the local bard guild.
As for when, it'll be sometime tomorrow or the day after, anytime from the time in the link onwards:

Still, it will depend on availability of people as to when I will start. Thanks!

War's Ghost wrote: Only a short distance from Darromar, high upon the Spires of Mir, a fortification like few others on Faerun stands. Mass-producing dread, mutated contingents of corrupt soldiers trained, armed, and delighting in the prospect of wanton destruction, the fortress readies itself for war.
So we shall show them war.
OOC: This is a
very dangerous area. Be prepared to die, possibly for a long time, possibly with difficulty to have your belongings recovered if you do. Any PC not super known for Garagos-ish behavior is welcome.
Let's give it a go in about an hour or hour.5 ish (~7:30/8:00 EST)! Meet at Darromar gates.

Ailyn Snow, Dweomerkeeper of our Lady Mystra, will be offering a training session for any who wish to partake. Spells and Skills, and even the basics of a few languages, will be available to those who wish. It is an open event, though enemies of the faith or those of dark heart are not welcome. Lessons will be on what those wishing to learn want, though Ailyn does reserve the right to refuse lessons on particular prayers.
All lessons are free of charge, though donations to the church are always welcome.

How about getting together just to hang out and play some meaningless games? At the Dripping Dagger in Waterdeep, so it's convenient.
I don't mean the gambling kind, so the tightest of arses out there can rest easy and come on out anyway.

After going through the discussion on thievery protocol (and all that mess that transpired), I was going back through some old posts when it came to thievery and stealing and the like... I read a post by Elerian where he said that thieves would be taught some of the dos and don'ts when it comes to stealing when they are guilded. Unfortunately, unless someone reads the help files, thieves will do what they think is right or easy or what have you.
With that being said, Bunny is going to offer an open invitation to all thieves. She's willing to take you aside and teach the mechanics of sleight of hand and other tricks of the trade so as to not get caught. (Yes, there will be RP involved... I'm not going to teach you how to type 'steal'... that'd be silly).
Since thieves are few and far between, consider this an open invitation for any thief skill available.

The caves themselves whisper about a terrifying band of young drow wreaking havoc amongst the acid aeries.

Contests of Might

by Skylar
Dame Skylar Tranyth will be hosting what she has decided to call Contests of Might. These will be a little competitive, but not overly so. The goal is a celebration of athleticism, physical aptitude, and individual skill, all in Lord Lathander's name. In short, this will be a casual setting where people may come to watch, or participate, in sparring matches. Anyone is welcome who is not an enemy of the Church of Lord Lathander- if you are not certain whether that includes you please reach out to Dame Skylar to tell you, or err on the side of caution.
Come one come all to the Fields of Justice for a bit of sport. Bring a host of different weapons that you favour, but expect some mundane weapons to be made available to pair opponents with like weapons of like quality.
https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ ... ah=1&am=30
OOC: This will be a simple bit of people enjoying one another's company and playing at Fight Club. I'd like it to be a chance for new players to see and interact with how sparring tends to be done, and for veteran players to unwind a bit with a safe place to engage in a bit of friendly PVP. A healer or two would be appreciated!
