Priest, wizard, and warrior tournament

Hey everyone! It has been a really long time since we had the last fighter's tournament. With the holidays coming up a lot of military, and a lot of school players are going to get getting time off. (including me) So I thought now would be a good chance to get another tourney in while we have a shot at a larger player base. The question I have for you is what day would be the best for those that are interested? I was thinking the 28th of December would be a good date, but a little input would help too
I have been thinking about this, and after speaking with Zorinar, we have decided to make this next tourney a three class tourney. Yes, we will have the warrior class, and Radgar will set up rules for that one. We will have a wizzy class, and Zorinar will set up rules for that one. And we will have a priest class, which Jarris will set up rules for. The tourney will be held in the training grounds of Swordpoint Hall in Berdusk. When we get a date set up we will then post the rules for each class. There will be a 5 platinum entry fee, and there will also be prizes for the champion of each class.
I posted this on another thread, but the title of the other thread does not due it justice, it is somewhat misleading

The 28th is good for me, don't really have anything special to do that evening. Any particular time you had in mind?

Well, at the moment, I am going back to AZ and will be there during that time period. So, I would prolly start it around noon Arizona time. But I would like to get more feedback before I start setting dates

Concerning the wizards tournament, I am open to suggestions. These are the conditions I am considering so far:
General rules:
-No death magic allowed regardless of the school.
Examples include but not limited to, Phantasmal killer,
Disintegrate, Finger of Death and the like. The reason is that
these are death spells, and it is not reasonable that you can control
death spells in a spar in my opinion.
-No potions, scrolls, wands or staves that invoke a magic spell. Not everyone has the ability to make these nor does everyone have equal opportunities to collect such items. Lets keep it to just personal spell casting.
-Any equipment is allowed but none may be used to invoke a spell or ability for the competition. No rings of healing or the like. Same reasons as above.
-Some spells like illusionary pit last forever, and it guarantees the first caster an auto-win. I believe this spell should not be allowed. If there are others like this that I might not know about, please post them here that we may discuss.
Options
Option 1: Each Wizard shall face off against their foe with no spells cast upon themselves before hand.
Option 2: Each Wizard may have up to three spells cast before the combat begins.
Opton 3: Each Wizard may cast whatever spells they wish before the fight starts.
Option 1 helps to even out the playing field between casters, gives some strategy requirements and allows for a bit of luck. I personally like this option better but I am open to suggestions on this.
Zorinar.

since you can only cast three spells prier to the battle would it be fair that dispel magic not be allowed as well?

You maybe only able to cast three spells before combat, but you could certainly cast more IN combat so i think Dispel magic should be allowed.

I've got a wizard who would love to be there. I might have missed it, but was there a final location decided upon?

Further updates on the Wizards tournament:
After speaking with several people I believe that no "holding spells" should be allowed in the wizard competition. (Shadow Binding, Web, illusionary pit and the like. ) Stunning spells will be fine as they are short lived. The contestants shall all gather at the training hall in the Tempurian Temple in Berdusk but the actual combat will most likely be off elsewhere as area effect spells will probably be employed. Spectators are welcome but we must secure sanctuary prayers for all those wishing to watch. Perhaps we can find a priest willing to offer their time for this task. If any are able to offer their assistance with this, could you please let Jarris, Radgar or myself know?
The flow of the combat will be as follows:
Each participant will be allowed time to mediate and prepare. Each person will then be allowed to cast three spells upon themselves in front of their oppontent. Spells like dispel magic are most certainly usable after combat begins. I shall yell begin and then each wizard may begin. May the best prepared wizard win!

Take note sactuary or sanctity won't protect spectators from AOE spells it will still harm them and draw them into battle. You would have to group people and have them turn on no fight
