Affected by: Poison

Tested on game port and test port, doesn't seem to actually wear off. Says poisoned for 'a while'.

Not sure how/why/if it is purposely.
Beshaba potatoes.

Noticed this with the poison caused by ghoul bites recently. Spells with "long time" durations wore off before poison's "a while". Poison had to be removed by spells.

You do not need to change the world, merely leave it a little better than how you found it.

Thanks for the reports!

Results of testing:
Not all ghouls seem to have bites that poison. An example of one that does is
(13905) A ghoul with long teeth drools here.

When these bite you, and you do not save, you are poisoned. The affects list shows it as being for "a while," but code-wise it is set to duration -1, meaning until dispelled or cured. So that's definitely a bug! The question now is, what's the right fix?

D20 rules say
Disease - bite, Fortitude DC 12, incubation period 1 day, damage 1d3 Con and 1d3 Dex. The save DC is Charisma-based.

An afflicted humanoid who dies of ghoul fever rises as a ghoul at the next midnight. A humanoid who becomes a ghoul in this way retains none of the abilities it possessed in life. It is not under the control of any other ghouls, but it hungers for the flesh of the living and behaves like a normal ghoul in all respects. A humanoid of 4 Hit Dice or more rises as a ghast, not a ghoul.

Paralysis (Ex) Those hit by a ghoul's bite or claw attack must succeed on a DC 12 Fortitude save or be paralyzed for 1d4+1 rounds. Elves have immunity to this paralysis. The save DC is Charisma-based.
So it looks like we are trying to sort of emulate the "ghoul fever" affects, without the risk of turning into a ghoul if not cured after 24 hours...and the affect is coded as a poison rather than a disease. We don't use the paralysis effect at all, I think.

Thoughts on what this *should* look like? A disease with the Dex and Con effects? A poison with a finite duration? Input is welcome!
