Ummm...help?

Trying to find the post that has the list of Deities that need followers. I know it is out of date, but it is still a decent guideline. I have been searching for a couple of days and cannot find this anywhere. Is it still on here?

We no longer go by that list, so it was likely removed. All faiths are open at all times.

If all faiths are open, does that also mean all faith special organizations are open as well?

All faith organizations should be eligible for application, but acceptance my be limited.

All faiths are open. Special organizations are, well, special. Personally, I don't often vote in favor of applications for inclusion in special organizations unless I think there are enough active members of the given faith playing as non-specialized faith members.

Well, if thre is an IC member of the sepcial organization that takes the applications and things of that nature, would you still prefer that the characters interested in joining the organization send in an app to you guys? Well, the Steel Fang is not exactly SPECIAL, it is an elite group of mercenaries, the best of the best is what I have been able to get out of it. I send characters to an IC source for the initiation/training/testing of course. But would you like ALL of these organizations to send in an app before they can proclaim thier participation in the organization?

When I refer to special organizations I am generally speaking of religious orders within a given church. For example, for Lathander, the Order of The Aster is a specialized group. Until there is a significant increase in the number of active Lathanderites, I don't see the point in moving people into the Order. Some organizations that have a PC leader, The Steel Fang, the Fellowship of the Undermountain, Harpers, etc. are usually left to the players in charge. Imms prefer to be informed of their considerations before induction happens, but mostly as a courtesy because we have faith in those players in charge. We reserve the right to step in if we see something that we consider ill-conceived, but I can't recall a time when we ever actually had to do that.

So this might be a little veer from the conversation but I think it might be a good place to ask this... since it deals with current faiths. I know there has , in the past couple of months been a huge array of shifting going on within the faiths. And I know there was a list posted on the help files of the current FMs. But... It has been my experience, that a few of the ones listed are not active.. or do not seem active currently. Also I know there are some faiths that had no FM in charge. ( some of these have not had an FM for a good while, and some empty positions were caused/created in the "flux" as new people were put in place or not put in, as the case might be in individual instances. )

Is it alright if we are going to try to join a faith with no active FM to put in an application or send a note to apps to give a heads up that X char is interested in X faith? Im not trying to be rude, I am honestly curious. I know there are some faiths that have inner circles and prelates that have taken up the mantle and tried to help with faith matters and help keep those faiths "alive" but, I wonder if the reason those faiths are languishing is because people just do not know what to do? It is hard know if you should send in an app or not. I dont want to ruffle feathers.... and anger the pantheon lol

That should be perfectly fine! If it turns out that there -is- a FM for that faith, the post will just be forwarded to the current Faith Manager so you can work out a fitting time for the both of you. Thanks for asking, as I'm certain others have wondered that as well!

What about creating a small database of 'open' worshipers for coded dieties. A list of faiths with their FM's or Acolytes who might be in the faith process.

For example: Malar has about 10 members in the faith. And currently no FM.

Danten, our last FM is often away and cant keep up so he stepped down.
Kirag, my own character, dosen't get logged due to no faith driven events or RP's for evil druids. (I could drive this, but i find myself around later then most players.)

The list would include a FM/1-2 ranking members in it. And allow someone to PM them so they can set up an RP.
This would be pure OOC information but would help with IC interactions and get to gethers.

Well, if you are all looking for evil RPs to happen let me know. PM me or something with ideas. I have an evil that has been...poking a few thorns in the goodies sides of late. I am sure with a few ideas, and help, I can get a fun RP started. I will post everything on the events, and I will do what I can to spread the info ICly to people as well. I just need to know that someone else is interested in an RP. I am not complaining, but in the past I have set up multiple events with only one or two people showing up for them, and I do not have the time to devote to one chracter long enough to get an event going and then hav it not happen. I have three very active characters that need attention. But, if you are interested let me know, and I am MORE than happy to head something up.

This goes for goodies too, I love to do things WITH people, soloing gets way old way fast. And no offense, but market square chatter gets kinda old after a while, especially if it is jut you idling in there. Any ideas, you can PM me, and we can find a day to get it going. Adventures into dangerous places, even little things I am up for
