Re-smelting Ingots Adding to Your Inventory

Re-smelting ingots is now in the game!

However, there is a bug with the system. I started with 4 high-grade ingots of silver:

Code: Select all

You are carrying:
     a leather ore bag (perfect)
     a wood box (perfect)
( 4) a high-grade ingot of silver (perfect)

Code: Select all

Items: 6/11
Smelting two ingots together should result in only one ingot. Even though in the game that was the case, my score sheet says otherwise:

Code: Select all

You melt the impurities from a high-grade ingot of silver.
You shape a low-grade ingot of silver on your anvil.
You quench a low-grade ingot of silver with a loud hiss.

Code: Select all

You are carrying:
     a leather ore bag (perfect)
     a wood box (perfect)
( 2) a high-grade ingot of silver (perfect)
a low-grade ingot of silver (perfect)

Code: Select all

Items: 7/11
So, in summary, I was only carrying 5 items but my score sheet said 7. In effect, smelting two ingots together raises your inventory by one when it should reduce it by one.

Note: After this happened a couple times and I re-logged in twice to reset my score sheet, it stopped happening. I'll report if it happens again and under what conditions.

This actually may be a problem. I generate a similar response with ingot smelting failures or when I try and smelt ingots and do not have enough in my inventory:

----
You do not have enough of a high-grade ingot of tin to re-smelt it.
----
or
---
You fail to smelt a high-grade ingot of steel properly.
----

-----
<100%hp 0m 83%mv> You are carrying:
Nothing.

Items: 10/17
----

Inventory resets to normal values after a relog, as Athon mentioned. Still an odd lil thing.

I ran into this issue again.

I'm not sure how directly it is tied to smelting failures. I only failed once, but ended up gaining 12 items in my inventory after re-smelting a stack of 10 ingots 12 times.

Also,

If you fail when smelting two ingots together, you can now end up with 2 'low-grade ingots of steel' but they end up being different qualities of the same "low-grade" and therefore cannot be worked together with future smelting or smithing. This may be intentional but wasn't the new low/average/high/etc.-grade system supposed to replace this?

The multiple quality from failures issue is being addressed. That was not intended. Ghost items... not sure.

Should now be fixed, thanks for the bug report! (both the quality mismatch + the phantom items)
