Ive been skinning for a while now. I thought 15 hides would be enough to create leather gloves. I kept getting the echo I didnt have enough.

So i droped them to see what happeneds:

You are carrying:
a travellers pack (perfect)
(15) the inferior-grade tanned hide of a lizard man (perfect)

>look
(15) The inferior-trade tanned hide of a lizard man lies on the ground. (perfect)

However, VT shows:
4-the inferio
7-the inferio
4-the inferio

Someone says, OOC, 'Hmm, not sure.'
Someone says, OOC, 'They all look like the same pile when you 'look'.'
You say, OOC, 'Yes. But in VT they for 3 piles - 4, 7, 4'
Someone says, OOC, 'They all form the same stack in my inventory too. I wouldn't be overly concerned by that.'
Someone says, OOC, 'Feel free to issue a bug report if you like, of course.'
You say, OOC, 'with that many.. i still cant make leather gloves'
You say, OOC, 'im going to go out on a limb and say 15 pieces of leather is more then enough for gloves'
Someone says, OOC, 'That would certainly make sense.'
You say, OOC, 'Allright. Going to make a post then.'
Someone says, OOC, 'There is a slight different in their 6th object value'
Someone says, OOC, 'I'm not sure what that represents, but that's why they're showing up as different items'
Someone says, OOC, 'Probably quality of some sort'

The issue you're running into here is the EXACT thing that happened with smelted metals before the change. You would smelt 10 pieces of mithril, but get 3 different qualities. You would just see 10 of the same in your inventory, but see this when you dropped them on the ground:

Code: Select all

(3) a piece of mithril lies here (perfect)
(6) a piece of mithril lies here (perfect)
(1) a piece of mithril lies here (perfect)
In terms of item 'repair,' they are in perfect quality. But in terms of actual quality in regards to how well it was actually smelted, we have 3 pieces of perfect mithril, 6 pieces of average mithril, and 1 piece of bad mithril up above. You would have to sort them out so they were all the same 'quality' in order to smith. It was very frustrating to manage. The new system was supposed to change this to actually telling you the quality of the metal in the name - so this is indeed a bug. We had this same issue with smelting just a few days ago:

Hopefully it'll get resolved asap!
