[FEAT] Improved Hide

Disclaimer: This a version of the feat "improved diversion" in complete adventurer which has a requisite 4 ranks in bluff that as far I know it is not coded.

This feat would allow you to hide in a combat, should you were successful in an opposed check of hide vs spot of all those players/mobs weren't in your group, upon hiding all hostile mobs/players couldn't continue attacking the player unless he made himself visible or was spoted by a would-be attacker mob/player, the use of hide in combat would cause "tiredness", sort like other combats skills do and so unable to do multiple tries in the same round (or the use of other combat skills)

I dislike the idea of the hide skill being used like the spell Invisibility.

How about improved hide allowing you to run while hidden?

Well, actually the chances to be successful aren't by far as good as with the spell, you must win an opposed roll with all those that would rather not losing you from sight and you are still open to that someone might spot you.

Furthermore the bluff skill, explicitly states that can be used to that purpose. (class-skill for rogues)
Creating a Diversion to Hide

You can use the Bluff skill to help you hide. A successful Bluff check gives you the momentary diversion you need to attempt a Hide check while people are aware of you. This usage does not provoke an attack of opportunity.
It's true that there are skill/feats/spells that overlap with each other and if we wouldn't consider bringing this to the game, under the same logic could be argued to remove the spell knock (since thieves can pick locks), the spell 'dispel evil' since paladins can smite and so on. In this case there would not be any overlap since to the date wizards casting invisibility upon rogues while in combat it is minimal to say the least.

btw: I like your feat suggestion but that would be another different feat, although sadly I'm unsure if it would be worth spending a feat point
