Druidic Shapechange

Post by Elerian » Mon Aug 30, 2010 3:29 am

It appears that when you shapechange it does not maintain your character stats rather overwrites it with the animals default stat profile. I undertsand the logic of a bird should not carry 150lbs of equipment, but with true shapechange it would nto be an issue. The limitations of the code force you to not only keep your gear, but you have it all in your hands. So when shapechangeing into an appropiate animal with a low str and dex it become problematic.

I need some help on this one, folks. What is the best solution for this? Would it make sense to have all PC equipment transfer into a container that gives zero weight and holds many items? (That probably runs the risk of all items being munched, though, if something goes awry!)

d20 says anything the new form can't use becomes unavailable - "When the change occurs, your equipment, if any, either remains worn or held by the new form (if it is capable of wearing or holding the item), or melds into the new form and becomes nonfunctional."

I don't know that we implement that - can we remedy by using the floating disk spell, perhaps?
