Luck Day Lottery

Post by Zasheir » Tue Mar 01, 2011 10:48 pm

As one of Faerun's leading auspicians, it is my task to observe the ebb and flow of luck, both good and bad. From these observations, I am able to extrapolate probable concentrations of luck for future dates and, by studying the peaks of these concentrations, I can predict events of significant good or bad luck.

It has come to my attention that there is to be a critical peak in the accumulation of good luck, the likes of which haven't been seen in over a decade, in approximately six-and-a-half months. Once it has begun, it should last just over one tenday, and, during this time, the possibilities for greatness in all forms are endless.

So what does this mean for you? It means that there is no better time to take advantage of your good fortune by participating in a game of chance! And it is for this reason that I will be holding a lottery, open to all participants, the drawing for which will take place during the aforementioned peak luck levels.

Entries cost only five gold coins, and participants can purchase as many entries as they like to increase their chances of winning the grand prize. Speaking of which, let's talk prizes. All prizes will be simple monetary awards, though, of course, winning carries with it the excitement and satisfaction of experiencing a stroke of true luck. That being said, the grand prize will be the sum of five hundred gold coins. There will be a second drawing for a prize of two hundred fifty gold coins and a third drawing for one hundred twenty-five gold coins.

Now, for the little details. Entries should be paid to myself, Zasheir Dumein, or one of my designated collectors, Nara Longtooth, Kea Daretaker, or Althasizor Salirius. The means by which the funds are delivered are at the option of the contestants, be it by hand, courier, or magical transportation. Please note, however, that there will be no compensation for expenses incurred. The cutoff date for entries is as listed, and the drawing itself will occur one tenday later. I reserve the right to delay the lottery drawing as necessary to ensure that I get all the entries from my collectors. In addition, if significant interest is shown in this lottery, I reserve the right to enlarge the prizes. After all, bigger prizes mean more fun! If the prizes are to be enhanced, I will announce the new prize values. Once the drawings have been completed, prizes will be delivered to the winners through whatever means necessary.

Don't let this opportunity pass you by. This is your chance to make a fortune, so get your entries in and keep your fingers crossed!

--Zasheir Dumein

PS- To make things just a little more interesting, I will see about getting a small bonus reward for our grand prize winner. I'm not making any promises that it'll happen, it won't be anything too significant, and I won't be announcing what this little addition may or may not be. With any luck, our big winner will like what I come up with!

There's been just a slight delay in getting all the entries in, but as of now the winners have been selected and I'll be tracking them down individually to award them their prizes. Thank you to everyone that participated, be you helpful volunteer or excited participant. I hope everyone had fun, and, with luck, I'll be doing this again sometime!
