Bards suffering spell failure via light armor

I know there was a bit of a tweak to spell checks of sorts that the armor kicks in (believe this was in relation to Uleha's thread about a mage wearing various armors). With my bard though wearing at his worst studded armor, he is suffering from spell failures. Per using the website d20srg who claim to have their rules based on the 3.5 set, a bard should not suffer any penalty of this sort while wearing light armor.

Is their information incorrect versus the system we are employing here in FK? I know we are not 100% die hard if this rule says this we must follow it. Still I find it curious we can not work in light armors without penalty. If any log will help, I have this...

If you would like to see my equipment list, I can provide it or you can simply load me. The heaviest piece I wear is studded leather. As well speaking to two other leather wearing bards, they too experience an issue as similar as mine.c mir
