To the wizards of the Realms,

I, Takket Keppur, shall be holding a series of classes for those who aspire to take on apprentices but are uncertain of how to go about doing so. These classes will include both lectures as well as activities designed to apply the knowledge learned. Topics to be covered will include both basic and advanced magical theory, fundamentals of instruction, application of education, creative task assignment, safety with magic and more. A lesson in scribing may also be included.

Classes will be lead by myself, guest speakers and the students themselves. Students of the classes should have a reasonable amount of experience with magic as they will be put in dangerous situations and expected to hold their own.

Those interested should inquire of myself for further details via any means you like.

OOC: Those that complete the series of classes will be given access to the teacher and scholar feats.

OOC question: Should we assume that to be given access to the feats, you must have 4 feat points to spend?

OOC suggestion: and for those that were never able to free the 4 feats, it may be a good opportunity for feat exchange.

To answer the questions that have come up:

Yes, you will need to have feat points available to spend to take the teacher feats at the end.

No, feat exchanges will not be offered for this.

Yes, evils may attend but they need to be able to enter Waterdeep ICly. No special concession will be given on my part nor will they be expected from other players to "accommodate" the nature of evils. Troublemakers will be dealt with ICly. All that said, OOCly, I'm happy to give the evils some love and welcome them to attend. Let's just be sure it stays fun for everyone.

A little additional info: This is not intended for only level 50s. Those that attend should have a reasonable amount of playtime and be in the higher levels to avoid risk with some of our excursions, but that doesn't mean your level 30 can't come. If you are unsure, send me a PM or contact me in game and we can assess things.

Alright, the first class will be held at THIS time. The following classes will be each Thursday at that time. I realize this isn't going to work well for a lot of our European players, but this is really the only time I can secure to reliably run these for now. I'll be keeping notes of the classes and events so that in the future I can run these again at a different time, or (and I can't promise this one yet) I can hand the notes off to the top student in this series of classes to hold at a different time.

On that note, the top of the class MIGHT receive a little extra something to acknowledge their accomplishment.

I apologize, but I am going to have to cancel tonight's class. Stuff at work has hit the fan, then the fan exploded and now the building is burning down. Anyway, I'll very likely still be at work tonight when this is supposed to begin. We'll resume next Thursday at the same time.

In the mean time, anyone who missed the first class and still wants to take part can catch up with me if you can catch me online or PM me with a time.

Once again, I will not be able to make Thursday's class. I thought I had a good time nailed down, but recently life has been having a great time launching these little surprises just when i think things are under control.

I don't want to postpone again so how does Friday at a half an hour earlier than the time above work for those of you who want to attend? If it works for more people, I may try to keep it on Fridays.

I'm running late, but still plan on holding this. I'll be starting it in about 20-25 minutes from now.

Today's class was canceled in hopes of a larger class size next time. We'll try again at this time.
