Spot and VT100

When I have VT100 on and I make my spot check to see someone who is hidden it does not show the spotted person in the list of people in the room even though I can see them and interact normally with that person.

Confirmed, put in as bug 1006.
(Tied it to the issue of some magic items appearing in that center column as NPCs from time to time.)
