Code: Select all
Your strike bounces off a half-decayed parishioner!
To the best of my knowledge, these should be coded as human zombies, with a DR slashing/5 and an AC of only 11 (-1 Dex, +2 natural). I was wearing a mace at the time.
For the record, I was killing goblins (AC 15) no problem.

What is the bug here?
You are wearing a mace and it's DR is only bypass by slashing...
I fail to see a probleme here.

Whoops. Brain fart. Thought only slashing was reduced. My bad.

It's a
very easy mistake to make, confusing what the word after the slash represents.
So easy that it has been made by D&D's authors on occasion (they even called it a brain fart). It looks like the DR for zombies is supposed to be beaten by slashing as adventures must cut away the piles of flesh that make up a zombie, so this should be working just fine.
"Let all on whom Her light falls be welcome if they desire. Trust in Her radiance, and know that all love alive under Her light shall know her blessing. Promote acceptance and tolerance. See all other beings as equals."

I'm just disappointed in that I knew this and I still made the blunder. Long day of work.
