Hi
I was discussing with another player about having a magical collector set up an exchange shop. In this shop you will be allowed to trade in a number of magical items (scrolls wands, amulets, rings) for the chance at one in the exchanges' inventory. It would take a certain number of items to allow an exchange and when once an exchange is made all is reset back to zero.
The purpose being is offer up an alternative to just selling these items for coin.

I like this idea.
Anthalas Woodshadow - Repentant Ranger
Malagond Udreusil - Paladin Squire of Kelemvor
Cui'snart - Dual-wielding monster processor

Re: The magic item exchange
As long as there is a way to identify the item before hand I'd be happy for this to come around!
Radgar Warrior of Tempus!
Bregga Warrior of Moradin!
Allistair Priest of Tyr!
Wake Early if you want another man's life or land. No lamb for the lazy wolf. No battle's won in bed.

Re: The magic item exchange
Just wondering, could this not be done icly by a pc that decided to play as a merchant? I know most have come and gone, but it sounds like a role someone could pick up quickly if they made it known they had interest in it via ic means.

Sure they could I was just thinking of something consistant e.g. you can buy armour from players in game smithed by those players but the vast majority is still bought from mobs because it's consistant.Dovan wrote:Just wondering, could this not be done icly by a pc that decided to play as a merchant? Also alot of quest rewards have material value but no tangible value in usage for most player characters.
Re: The magic item exchange
I think both the original idea and trading between players are brilliant ideas.
