Scrolls

There are a couple of things that in my view rather limit the usefulness of scrolls as it stands.
Syntax for using a scroll is
recite <target>.
Firstly you can not specify any parameters for the spell or spells on the scroll, which makes certain spells like energy immunity, dragon skin and a lot of others pretty useless. What i would like is a syntax more like.
recite <target(may be self)> <parameters> where the parameters get passed through to all the spells invoked from the scroll.
Secondly there is an oddity with area effect spells on scrolls, the <target> you have to specify on recitiation is the only thing affected by the spells, even if when normally cast they would blow up an entire room.
Just my observations after starting to use scrolls for the first time.
