EMPRISE OF BLOOD : TOURNAMENT OF WAR
By the grace of the One True God, the King of the Supreme Throne, Prince of Lies, the call for blood and glory is made for those capable of steel and war. The Ebon Spur, The Black Sun's most elite, call upon men-at-arms, squires, knights, cavalrymen, armsmen, barbaric tribes-people, and brawlers of all fortitudes, shapes and skills to gather in tournament and offer blood and glory in tourney of war.
Though held for the Glory and Honor and the Prince of Lies, His Most Supreme Ruler, this tournament calls for all capable and willing to come and offer skill and steel for purpose of honor of his or her own regard. Have you no love for the Black Sun? Come, give your steel and prove you are supreme to His unholiest of riders. Even His riders are not without honour and code - within the rules and stipulations of this tournament, none will challenge to fight as a coward.
Entrance fee for each participant is 10 minted coins (platinum) of any respectable minting office.
Prizes for the tournament will be paid in rare, magically-enhanced arms and armament as well as satchels of coins so full, mules will be offered to help cart away tournament spoils.
For the glory of the Prince, the tournament will offer short reprieve of any bloody feuds and spats - There will be no allowance for combatants to death - death to one's opponent will be met with equal payment.
Still sought are the following requirements before such a tournament might be had:
Venue : The Ebon Spur is willing to accomodate this tournament, however due to the faith strife with a number of good-hearted armsmen and knights, it is understood many of the goodly-aligned warriors would avoid the Keep as though it were an orc with two heads. It is humbly requested an alternate venue is proposed, whether it be allowed of the Crown of Cormyr, the Duke and Duchess of Daggerford, or the Church of the Foehammer. The sponsor of said tournament is willing to offer 300 coins of local currency to any willing host of such an emprise.
Heralds: Sought are at least one or two bards of note, willing to be employed as a herald to our contestants. Heralds will be paid commensurately for services rendered (100 coins of his or her local minting office).
Marshall: As the sponsor of such a tournament will be competing for the Glory offered herein, necessity calls for a Marshall to enforce the rules and regulations as well as score each individual bout - Marshall will be paid 150 coins of his or her local minting office.
Any willing to take part in any individual role from marshall to combatant is asked to send missive to the Ebon Spur with attention made to its Cavalier, Nerian Xavril, for admittance and addition made to such a tournament. Further details pending finalization.
Stamped with a wicked-red wax, embossed with a jawless skull surrounded by jagged purple sunburst
(OOC: I really really really hope this will be a good opportunity for some great good vs. evil RP in a controlled, regulated tournament setting, showing the dynamics between those two very different groups of characters who would normally join such an event. More details to follow and suggestions asked for in types of bouts to be had).
