Tide prog in Alaron

For situations like what just happened to me - I don't think you should be able to be force-dismounted and dragged out to sea to drown when the tide pulls out in Alaron. Doesn't make sense that a mounted, flying creature can be knocked off his said flying mount and dragged out to drown.

Holyhead Beach
N-Holyhead Dock E-Path to the Bea W-Trackless sea
This sandy beach is edged with cliff to the east. Looking to the west you
can see all the way to the horizon across the Gulf of the East. The beach
is full of little tide pools through which small creatures swim.
The sky is sultry and a cool northern breeze blows.
Gryph, a powerful ebony hippogriff is here mounted by you.
The tide is going out and you are pulled out to sea with it.
Your armor hinders your attempt at swim.
You cough and choke as you tire and gulp water!
You wish that your wounds would stop BLEEDING so much!
Your armor hinders your attempt at swim.
You cough and choke as you tire and gulp water!

This should be in the funny moments thread, but I agree, the tide should probably be removed altogether.

Thinking about this - I have to agree. It seems kind of silly to just assume any time anyone is standing near the coast they're out enough to get sucked in and potentially die. The prog is nice in theory, but in practice it seems a bit illogical.

I fixed this program and sent Harroghty a PM with the fix.

I changed this in a couple of ways. First, the program triggers much less often. Secondly, you are not automatically dragged out; there is a small chance that you will be pulled by the tide but if you are mounted, flying, or levitating then you are immune to it. If you are not any of those things than there is a skill check against your swim ability to see if you are pulled away from the shore.

Moreover, there is a warning about the risk when the tide is in.

This change is pending copyover to the main port.
