Hi there. Trying to post in complaints about a potential IP conflict and I'm getting a 500 error when I click on Preview or Submit. Full text of the error:
Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving
posting.php?mode=post&f=122. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this web page later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfil the request.

It's very likely that this has something to do with a diacritical mark or a punctuation that the forum does not like. For example, I cannot post with an accent marks or I will receive a similar error.
Please try posting with only plain text (no punctuation) and see what happens? If you press 'Preview' and that works, then maybe start adding punctuation until you see the error. Then you will know what it does not like.

Yes - to expand a bit, typically this is a result of pasting in text from another program. The special characters Word and the like use for quote marks, apostrophes, etc. are not in the HTML vernacular and cause the forum code to choke, giving you this error.

This has been a long-term issue on the FK boards. Does anyone have access to the admin control panel? There should be error logs in any of the new versions of PHPBB and that should say what is happening.

The last actual "error" logged is from May 2012. I think this is an error that never makes it to the PHPBB engine itself, or at least it doesn't consider it worth logging.
