I have now died 4 times in rooms i have previously recalled from while in battle. Its an automatic failure anytime im fighting. I tested it while fighting low mobs that have no threat and still fails. Is this intended?

Re: Word of recall
This isn't general to PCs using SUPPLICATE RECALL, which seems to work fine in combat. However, using CAST 'WORD OF RECALL' in combat on the surface causes almost without fail the echo
In short, something is broken here, mostly in the echoes, but the fact you can no longer use word of recall to exit carte blanche from overheated combat is probably quite intentional.
In some cases you also get the echo "You Failed!" and remain right where you were, still in combat, but in others you end up in a random tavern (and do break combat). I'm guessing this is intentional, but that the echoes need updating/tweaking. In some cases you get just the echoProtective wards have caused you to unexpectedly arrive somewhere else.
and then, consistently, nothing happens, you remain in combat. If the concentration skill has any effect on this, it is backwards. I didn't have time for a statistically valid test, but over about 10 tries had more trouble succeeding with GM concentration than with no skill in it at all.You failed!

Re: Word of recall
But that's a bit strange because there's nothing blocking other kinds of teleportation spells, why only word of recall? Are you sure it's not an error? After all, word of recall is subject to the same spell failure chance due to a loss of concentration that any other spell would be subject to...
Re: Word of recall
Just a question, but could it be possible this one was specifically changed because it's a widely known spell and anyone could use it to flee from PVP?

Re: Word of recall
I just tested Astral Walk while in combat, and got "You can't concentrate enough while fighting!," so I'm guessing this is intended to be across the board, as it darn well should be, in my mind. But teleport seemed to work without fail, so I think it deserves the same treatment. Such transport spells are too complicated for the sane to even think of attempting while in melee, no?
To be clear - I believe it should be the case that teleportation spells have a low chance of working while in combat. The "failure" echoes need some tweaking, though, at least for Word of Recall. Teleport should get a treatment similar to Word of Recall and Astral Walk, and other such spells should be checked to be sure they have a high chance of failure. I think supplicated recall should remain 100%, though; begging for help from your deity in such cases does make sense to me.
