Assembly of Madness

Post by Aldren » Tue Dec 04, 2012 10:41 pm

*********************************************
*********************************************
Black riders are sent from the gates of the
Ebon Spires, hand-delivering missives to each
servant, shrouded and open, of the Prince of
Three Crowns, Lord of Darkness, the One True
God. From the Moonsea they press west,
delivering news to His faithful, murmured
whispers from the shadows.
*********************************************
*********************************************

PRAISE BE TO THE ONE TRUE GOD, MAY WE STRIKE
DOWN ANY WHO COUNTER THE ONE TRUE WAY, AND ANY
WHO CANNOT BE STRUCK BE CURSED ETERNALLY TO BE
JUDGED BY LORD CYRIC'S HAND HIMSELF.

The Strife-ridden faithful of His eternal army
are called to Lord General Dy'nesir's assembly
and tourney grounds to shed blood and honour
in His glory. With the passing of each sun, He
calls more into the fold of His army, headed
at fore by the Banelord Nerian of House Xavril.

Those wishing to earn rank and stance in the
shadow of the Dark Sun's standing army are
charged to ready steed, lance, and steel to
rank one another on the field of battle.

To achieve rank in Banelord Xavril's fold will
require skill in the saddle with both spear
and melee alike. Worthy riders will be ranked
thusly against one another, seating themselves
in proper office to serve Lord Cyric's
unending conquest of the tyrants and and
justicars who claim lordship across Faerun.

At the thrice-tolling bell hourly, rally ones-
self on the parade grounds of Lord General
Dynesir's Ebon Spires. Bring glory and blood
to shed on the field, and leave weakness
and hesitation for those less deserving.

*********************************************
*********************************************
OOC: More details to follow. This is an opportunity to gather the
faith of Cyric, warriors (aplenty) especially, and offer a chance
for some evolving RP to develop.

What times or days work for everyone? Personally, Sundays are the
only day I can guarantee to be free on a semi-regular basis.
Should I pick some dates and times and see what works for people?

Cheers.

Malrok will be there. Any time or day works for me. Though somwhere between 3-7 central us time usually works the best.

Arla would probably be interested in this, although not so much the fighting part.

I will certainly be in attendance. You know when I'm free.

OOC:

Based on what I've heard so far, one of the following times will need to work. If other days/times work, PLEASE PM ME so that we can work times/dates together. The objective is to get together as many Crazies(Cyricists) together in one place at one time (without the world imploding from our combined darkness).

Time 1: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... 1=831&ah=3

Time 2: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... 1=831&ah=3

Time 3: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... 1=831&ah=3

Which work and which don't? Send me a PM, please, and we'll hash it out.

More details to follow.

Times #1 and #3 should work for me as long as everyone is on time and it ends when scheduled. I'm thoroughly looking forward to this event.

I've heard from two people. I need more solid answers yes or no, otherwise the alternatives are indefinite postponement or me choosing a date and time and hoping people show face. I've been trying to put a lot of work into this, and I want people to be rewarded for showing up. I need to know times to do that, though, people (and getting 3 people together is something we regularly do as a faith anyway).

Thanks.

Only time that works for me is the third option.
You'll shed your blood, your bodies fall. That is the price you'll pay to cleanse you of your sins. Vicious and cruel, let's kill them all.
Let's kill them all.

All three options work for me. #1 being the best, but #2, and #3 work well also. I'll show no matter what time is picked

The first is a no. The second and third are maybe.

Based on the responses I've received (and we're working for majority's rule, here), TIME 3 looks to be the time we're going to gather.

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/f ... 1=831&ah=3

If you cannot make this, don't fret. This is the first of many faith gatherings (this one being geared toward more "brutish" followers, others to focus on others and the faith in general) I plan on organizing over the coming months. I realize that the holidays are hectic for everyone on the MUD, and I understand people's inability to come.

Update to the events calendar to follow.

Thanks.

Apologies in advance.

This event will be pushed back one week (7 days) to 13 January, 2013. This was due to a RL work concern (my store is moving and I have the 1st-6th to complete it).

The events calendar has been updated to reflect this change.

I hope to still see many of you (faithfuls and hopefuls alike) at this event.

I'm very very very very very very very sorry, however... RL has a firm grasp on my neck at the moment, and with the joys of moving stores comes the joy of spackling, sanding, painting, standardizing, electrifying, wiring, installing, and remerchandising. These processes take more time than I thought firsthand - therefore, Sunday has turned into my deadline for moving my store. That being said, I will be unable to host this event this coming Sunday. It will need to be delayed for one more week ( :( :( :( :( :( ). I will update this post and the events calendar when I have a chance (this evening, hopefully?).

Very sorry guys, I know you were all looking forward to this event (I am too!). It will happen, I promise. And it will be very soon.

Pushed back one week (7 days) to Sunday the 20th. Apologies again that it happened - life's hectic for me right now.

Unfortunately I (Arla) probably won't be able to make the 20th as I've already committed to organising an RL thing form 8PM.
