Hello,
Just curious on if there is any type of bonus to using a weapon focus feat on shieldwork.. such as adding to your shield + and so on. Or if you did, would it just go as a wasted feat.
Thank you

Eechi: Hi. Check out the shield specialisation feat. That and shield ward are the feats that you'll want.
You cannot train the weapon focus feat with shieldwork.

Yes iv already looked into those feats but was just curious on the weapon focus thing. Thanks for the clarification!

I can say from a very unfortunate, misinformed experience that you can (or at least used to be able to) use a feat point to train weapon focus in shield work.
I can also say from very unfortunate, misinformed experience that it in fact, does nothing.

Technically, we're all half centaur.

In my opinion, and as unfortunate as it is, it's more incentive to add it to the game. It's not a massive change in code and has its place here in FK. -5% spell failure and -1(can't be less than 0) armour penalty to existing code.

No feat text shows up on that page for me.
Is it the same as:

Also, usually the only point I saw in special materials, or magic that reduced spell failure was to have enough to do it all the way down to 0. Since there are no half casters in this game at the moment that suffer from spell failure I'm kind of wondering why there would be a need for this.
If your thinking to use such a thing for a wizard, I say boo... boooOOO. Best part of being a wizard is walking into a dragon cave with nothing but a spell pouch and a hat and walking out with loot.
Reducing AMC could have some potential but I think such things applied to armor and shields should be relegated to very rare item/armour. Making it as accessible as a feat would counterpoint the little advantage light armor has over heavy.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!
