random -5 to hit-bonus

Post by Yemin » Fri Feb 07, 2014 3:26 pm

I currently have a random -5 on my score sheet to my hit bonus as if i were using a weapon I wasn't proficient with and i'm not sure why.
I'm playing a Wizard class and using a dirk which is under the short blades category which all wizards are proficient with to begin with, but after using the ask channel we can't come up with a reason why I am experiencing the minus.
I experience this minus even when using the training area basic straight dagger you get. when using the weapon in both primary and off-hands or in both hands. I've removed all my gear and re-equipped it as well as making sure ei'm not wearing any armor.
So thus far we're stumped so I was advised to post it here.

Help?
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

I tried taking a look at your PC, but I didn't see the dirk in question. It may be that specific weapon is mis-coded as to weapon type, or it could be something else. I'll try to catch up with you and check when you we are next online together, unless someone else beats me to it.

Edit: This was in resolved bugs...so I'm guessing someone already resolved this for you?

Mask moved it. Not sure if the fix is active.
