Pets suddenly got massive?

Hey dudes,

I haven't been feeding my pets anything, so I was a little surprised to find that they suddenly gained a bunch of weight! Check this out.

Before:

Carry Weight: 98.0/175 Load: medium

After:

Mystery mounts you.
Ok.
You are carrying more weight than you are able to manage - try dropping something!
Carry Weight: 278.2/175 Load: heavy

Tandria's group:

I tested it on a second pet to check.

There's definitely no way my cat or potbellied pig weigh 200 pounds, though!

Looks like this might be a common thing. Not sure if it's intentional or not but I thought I'd pass it along!

This appears to be a general issue.

Carry Weight: 3.9/100000
A tabby cat mounts you.
Carry Weight: 183.9/100000

The race file for RACE_CAT does not specify height and weight parameters. This might be something which could be amended by setting those.

Yep. Even an illusion weighs something like 150 billion pounds. I'm pretty sure all the pets gained weight.

All animals and insects I checked (mouse, rat, bee, cat, horse, fox) now weigh in at 180 lbs, regardless of size class. Talos mentioned something about a stamina and streamlining fix that was put in, that I've not read about yet, but that could be the origin.

Setting MinWeight and MaxWeight in the race files might do it, but I can't update race files currently so I can't give that a try. I now have two reasons to pull that off, though, so I'll make figuring out how to do that a priority. Enig, any tips for me?

Update: Took the time to get file content search working on my race files, and confirmed that even for races with Min and MaxWeight specified, and not including 180lbs (drow), in-game mobiles of that race still weigh in at 180lbs. So I'm pretty sure this is in hardcode, and a result of the streamlining thing Talos mentioned to me. It might need an exception carved out for creatures flagged pet.

This is still an issue for small pets. Davina's chicken weighs 180 lb.

Healthy cats weight around 10-15 pounds. My cat, Neruda, weighs around 180 pounds. I'm a little concerned.
