A Gathering of Hin

Post by Benorf » Mon Jun 02, 2014 4:11 pm

Word spreads quickly when you travel to every village between Waterdeep and Tantras and tell a Halfling Caravan to spread it. This gathering call is quickly spread throughout the reaches of the realm.

Prelate Formyndare Mastare, Wayward Warden of the Protector and the Provider would call all Hin to make the journey to attend a grand gathering! Any and all who call themselves friends of Hin are welcome to attend, Especially those who swear to the Earthmother, the Soulforger, The Sparkling Wit, The Loyal Fury, Coronal of Arvandor, or the Lady of Luck.

Any who have a craft or trade are encouraged to attend, and we will have a merchant present for the purpose of resizing equipment for our Halfling kin.

While the ultimate purpose is to give many Hin a chance to relax, this is first and foremost a religious gathering to spread the word of Yondalla. Remember that she forgives all, and regardless of past transgressions, all should attend to learn of Her!

The festival shall be held southwest of Daggerford, along the ocean coast.

OOC: Hopefully I did this properly. It shouldn't conflict with any other events that have been going up recently, made sure it was earlier in the day than the Tymora Event so there should be no conflict.

As was said, literally almost anyone is welcome to attend, and any offers of aid in helping out with the event would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT: I added the location, forgot about that. It'll be held southwest of daggerford, in the corner plains next to the ocean.

Thanks to everyone who attended! It was a great time. Worthy things of note:

Promotion for Nilco
Roli's induction into the church
The mystery magical Halfling who may-or-may-not have been Yondalla (Probably not)
Formyndare's story about the Origin of Hin (Courtesy of Races of the Wild)

What was your favorite part of the festival?

Thanks to everyone who helped out, can't wait to do it again!

Sorry I missed this, I'm on nights so sleeping during hours many people are awake.

I'll definitely be attending this again, was very fun and a great way to socialize with my ghostwise. Thanks for setting this up, the RP was right on point and everyone was respectful and attentive.

A appearance of the *Mystery* Hin was a great touch.
