Rangers! What Works and What Doesn't?

Post by Ungtar » Thu Oct 09, 2014 4:19 pm

I love, love, love rangers. A very fun class to play.

So of the ranger skills ... what works and what doesn't?

Animal empathy ... I can't tell if I just suck at it or if it just doesn't work very well.

Archery ... works great but is fidgety. I'm told it sucks at higher levels.

So far that's about all I've experimented with. Haven't found a lot of rangers in game either to ask IC questions. :(

I really think this is a matter of the player.

I've used animal empathy and had success. I've used archery and had success.

I think you need to play and find out what works for you - because the forums can say what class they play and how they play it until they're blue in the face but what you do best won't be found until you do it. :)

I like archery. It's very good. It's a bit more complicated than just slashing people down, but the tactics are part of the fun.

What "works" for me is stuff that has actually been implemented in game and is functional. :)
