I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but cremating corpses does not grant favor for Oghma.

Sacrificing corpses makes him angry, so I assumed the flipside should do the opposite.

It is intentional. Oghma does have actions which grant favor, but respectful actions with corpses are not among them.

I'd like to say, that as someone who plays a non casting Oghman. it is nearly impossible to gain favor. Thanasis has been an Oghman for at least a couple of years now. And I have never once got past this...
