First thing there are some shops in the Underdark which are often closed, but for rp this means missed opportunities. I have lost count of the times where I said "let's go there", no it's closed, let's go somewhere else!
So let's go:
-Hidden Knife inn in Menzoberranzan: Tazquirri and Adantrin are the mobs who observe a very reduced working schedule. It is a pity since for thieves and stealthy drow in general it is the best place to dine out.
-Another place which is *always* painfully closed when one wants to go there do rp, for example to meet someone, is Aiyana in the Hidden Violets in Skullport. As for the one above, I found finding this inn closed so often quite frustrating for the rp of my thief.
-Then there is Blingdenstone, and in particular the Miner's Best Friend and the Miner's Refuge. It does not make sense that in the lessons in the tutorial they tell you that svirfnebli do not count time and that they work when they need to work, eat when they need to eat and sleep when they need to sleep, when half ot the time shops and inns are closed! In theory the same logic could be extended to all shops in Blingdenstone, but personally I think that at least those two mentioned above are the ones who really do not make sense in being closed, considering svirfneblin attitude toward work and time.
edit: Just to be clear the proposal is to make the mentioned shops open 24h/24h.
Misc proposals on some Underdark shops daily schedules
Re: Misc proposals on some Underdark shops daily schedules
Speaking of, the Underdark shops might work on a different rotation than the surface ones, just for variety. Otherwise there is nothing open at night anywhere in the Kingdoms...
Re: Misc proposals on some Underdark shops daily schedules
Most of my taverns and inns are open 24/7 (on a related topic, but unrelated to the Underdark). It's a little bit "willing suspension of disbelief" but I justify it through the irritation of walking into a place with the intention of some RP only to be thwarted by the clock.
