Energy Immunity Not Granting Immunity

You prepare to cast 'energy immunity' self fire...

You begin to chant.

A tiny titanium shield glows briefly.
Zerrin bestows some energy immunity onto you.
You learn from your success and improve at energy immunity!

Your slash lacerates a bandit archer's left arm.
A jolt of lightning arcs from your bastard sword into a bandit archer.

With a sickening sound your slash deftly shreds a bandit archer's abdomen.
A jolt of lightning arcs from your bastard sword into a bandit archer.

Your stone skin absorbs all of a bandit archer's damage.
A bandit archer exclaims 'Fire!'
You cry out in pain as a bandit archer hits you with a flaming arrow!
You cry out in pain as a bandit archer hits you with a flaming arrow!
You cry out in pain as a bandit archer hits you with a flaming arrow!
You cry out in pain as a bandit archer hits you with a flaming arrow!
You cry out in pain as a bandit archer hits you with a flaming arrow!
Apologies if I'm just missing something. But it doesn't look like energy immunity is working correctly. I've seen this happen once or twice before recently, too.

I cast resist fire after this, and none of the archers' arrows affected me.

I was unable to reproduce this. The archers 'cast' flame arrow, so if energy immunity against fire is in place, the flame arrow damage should be negated. I tried stacking energy immunity with stone skin, casting it before and after, as well as casting energy immunity at a low skill level. Test PC still resisted all fire arrows completely. However, Energy Immunity suggests the protection is not absolute - was this just one volley of arrows, or did every one of them get through until you cast a second time? (I can't see the energy immunity hard code, but if it was just one 'casting' of fire arrow that got through, I would surmise you had the immunity in place and just got unlucky on a roll.)

Has anyone else seen anything along these lines?
