The Halloween creatures probably shouldn't be protected by the law code if possible.

thanks

You mean the kids running around in costume should be free for the murdering? I uh... I disagree. Don't attack mobiles in a city, that feels like it should be pretty obvious.

I mean the lich images and the bat and cats that don't look like kids.

I mean..., wait, are they supposed to be kids? I'm a little confused now

Why would you willy nilly kill cats and bats? Also, the skimpy lich probably isn't a child, but is still very likely just a U of A girl out barhopping.

Cat skin boots duh! No not really.

Because the bats have fangs and red eyes and the liches look like liches...., Either way I guess I know not to now! I kill rats all the time because of an IC dislike of them and bats are just flying rodents.

I'd say the the bats are fair game. But cats... no. Cat's are a sacred animal, Yemin. You'll do no harm to 'em or ya invoke the wrath and revenge *lightning strike* of Terageld Mestipen!

I'm not really sure there is anything in Waterdeep you can fight without the law getting involved if it is witnessed. I wouldn't recommend trying it.

The grey brown rats that wonder the streets are fair game.

And ahem..., so are cats! I do not fear any but Keryn the hidden cat lord

Halloween was a blast for those of us who don't partake in the pagan ritualism, or corporate cash cow and instead stay inside and mud.
Thanks

This is the kind of thing that discourages imms from making a holiday a celebration in game.

There is no IC obligation to your character to attack or stand against these creatures which are for the sake of celebration. No one is going to punish you for 'not killing that bat!'.

It's like a post in the internet. Don't like it, scroll on past.

It was IC for him to kill them. because of what they looked like to him. It is IC for him to dislike rats enough to kill them.... Honestly, I don't see what the big deal is/was, In the end I enjoyed myself and was thankful for it. I just had a suggestion that wasn't meant in bad taste, manner or spirit. If suggestions aren't welcome, then this forum should be closed tbh. It discourages me and others from using it by having our honest opinion turned around and made to seem like we're using the forum as the pseudo complaint board when we're not.

I think any complaint(suggestion) about an OOC planned, RL holiday event is done in bad taste. The imms do what they can to help us celebrate days that -most- people like, and for those to enjoy who may not get out to enjoy it. You say it is IC, but it is also okay for you to control your character, and hold back sometimes, or gladly switch over to another to enjoy it. Perhaps reference the first post of yours, and see why maybe the rest of us weren't getting behind the suggestion. It really comes across as a complaint.

To be clear, it wasn't a complaint and apologize if it came across as such. I made a suggestion like I would any other time when anyone puts effort into making anything fun and was made in the hope of improvement for the game as a whole.

Its being outlined that suggestions aren't welcome during holidays though, I'll refrain from making them in the future.

I think that nobody said that, but I for one, really like these little details that make these days a little more special. These perks of these very specific days allow you to enjoy them with your fellow players/characters. In some rare instances perhaps it might be a bit OOC but nobody will judge IC the cleric of lathander for not killing outright a funny dancing skeleton in hallowen. We all know what it is about.

And we all should prepare a secret IC gift exchange for christmas :D

Thats fair enough..., under the table though, he was killing them because they disturbed him, Bats with fangs and red eyes??? C'mon that'd scare me rl on darkened streets..., ahem, which was what they were supposed to do I think.

By the way... what're you getting me?? I may or maynot be able to keep it secret so it'll still be secret.
