Very well. Let's test a global tournament of fighters then....
Summary: This contest will be between the following guilds: School of Combat (Waterdeep), Orc Village, Golden Oak, Mithral Hall, Gilded Lance, and Way of the Warrior (ZK). Combatants who have joined more than one guild may only fight for one, not both or all. During a set period of two weeks, combatants may fight in individual matches with members of other guilds so long as the bout is supervised by a Tempuran of rank (ranked prelate or greater, lesser by exception only). The results of the match will be transmitted by the Tempuran official to Tempus via the pray command (i.e. pray tempus X defeated Y). The results are then tallied and the winning guild receives a reward.
Matches: matches can be fought any time during the two week window for competition. Matches are fought between two members of different guilds and two opponents may only fight each other once (i.e. you must fight a different opponent every time). A Tempuran (ranked prelate or greater, lesser by exception only) will supervise each match. A challenged PC may decline the match but they cannot fight that opponent later and both PCs must report that one declined via the pray command. (i.e. pray tempus I declined to fight X or pray tempus X declined to fight me).
Gear: matches are fought in any equipment, but without magical aid (no spells, no potions, etc. but magical gear is okay - spells cast from magical gear is not) unless the challenged PC declares that they demand tunics and mundane weapons only. Tunics will be provided by the Tempuran officials; mundane weapons are the responsibility of the combatants.
Scoring: first match scoring will be 1 point for a victory and 0 points for a loss. For subsequent matches: if first match was won, then 1 point for a victory and -1 points for a loss. If the first match was a loss then the scoring remains 1 and 0. Tempus will keep score based upon reports from Tempuran officials.
Rewards: the most winning individual competitor and all active competitors from the winning guild receive a token to be redeemed at The Juggernaut (that Spelljammer over Waterdeep).
I have appointed Lylena and Jarris as the two judges for this event.
Diritas, Harroghty, and Nerian are sitting this one out.
