Hostelner Blackthorn, Master Transmuter of the Wonderbringer, invites all wizards and druids to a shapeshifting battle royal! The monster magthere will be held in the glorious arena within Waterdeep known as The Fields of Triumph. Come to show off. Come to learn. Come to fight. Come to watch. Come to have fun. Come and be a part of a spectacle for the ages!

The rules are as follows:

1. All wizards and druids of any skill level, alignment or race will be admitted as long as they are permitted within Waterdeep. Lycanthropes will not be admitted.

2. No weapons will be allowed. That is, you must rely on the power of your polymorphed form to win.

3. No magic, besides polymorphing, will be allowed. That is, you must rely on the power of your polymorphed form to win.

4. Your chosen form must be submitted prior the start of the tournament. (This should keep the event from having too many of the same polymorphed form. Though you will not be asked to change forms if you submitted a form that is the same as someone else’s.)

5. Any polymorphed form is acceptable. If the polymorphed form you choose is able to wear humanoid clothing, you may continue wearing whatever you have on.

6. The initial pairings will be chosen at random and the format will be in a regular tiered tournament style.

7. You must continue to use the same form throughout the tournament. There will be a loser’s bracket, which will have no effect on the main tournament, where contestants will be allowed to switch forms.

Bring your A game and show off the incredible beasts and monsters you are able to polymorph into! The winner will receive a treasure chest of incredible items as well as a large sum of coins. If you don’t win, don’t worry! You should still show up to receive a goody bag filled with useful items and a consolation prize.

This event will be held on the date below:

Feel free to magically mail, hand in person or PM Hostelner (Dranso) your name and the form you are going to take for the tournament. Although, it is fine if you want to wait right before the start to do so. If you need suggestions I will be happy to provide you with some!

Bets will now be allowed on fights! The contenders for each match will be given odds. This means that bets can be placed directly with the house! Feel free to have side bets with other attendees as well, however they will not be kept track of by the officials.

Master Blackthorn has spared no expense for his grand tournament and is pleased to confirm that the extraordinarily talented bard, Aziza, will be announcing for the tournament!

Hostelner Blackthorn also seeks a priest for healing contestants! This is a paid position and the priest will be expected to heal all the contestants, no matter their alignment.

Evil or good, drab or flamboyant, come and participate in a once and a life time experience!

The grand prize for the tournament winner will be announced shortly!

I don't see a problem with having this tournament today even with the game not saving. I will just have to make a list of attendees and winners and get them their prizes after the problem with saving is fixed. Betting might be a pain though. See you all there!

You're welcome! And a big shout out to everyone who came and helped, thank you! We had a huge turnout. People learned some stuff. People had fun. People got spell components. One lucky person won it all and got a treasure chest full of cool stuff and a one-of-a-kind item from the staff!

There were thrikreens, oozes, tigers, pegasi, dire wolves, apes, gelatinous cubes, ettercaps and lions. What a spectacle! Though one winner, which was Areia! Congrats!

A special thanks to the runner up, Nixa! Also, a special thanks to the other contestants: Sindov, Rut, and Mister Castle. Hope everyone had fun watching, participating or just messing around with polymorph. Keep an eye out for other awesome wizardry events!
