It has recently come to my mind that crossbows (and possibly bows) don't have a proper way to store and draw as needed from an ic standpoint. Daggers and swords have scabbards and baldrics, and hammer and maces have loops or can be worn directly on ones belt.

As such I was thinking perhaps a sling could be made for carrying such a weapon, possibly sold at one of them road inns or a traveling merchant. I imagine the easiest way to have it made would essentialy a baldric or something similar being restrung. Or even something like a guige strap or shield-sling abet with a slightly different purpose.

I know it is not really needed (as people can just carry them in their inventory or bag), I just figured it might be nice to have the option of buying something made to hold such a weapon at the ready.

I figured since bows are pretty much just staves with strings on them, and some crossbows have a suitably long bit they could both be sheathed in loops?

Is this not the case ril?

From what I seen, most crossbows are carried either on ones back, or to the side satchel style on a sling. I could certainly be wrong since I am no expert. Though I imagine with the crossbows shape, carrying it in a loop wouldn't exactly be ideal, especially if one going to be backpacking it

There are both bow and crossbow scabbards/hulsters already in game at various locations.

Oh? Well than I just haven't seen them and need to explore more lol. Sometimes I wonder how much I haven't seen in this game!

I use a weapon harness for my crossbow. I figured it was meant for general use, and would likely hold a crossbow.

So added and scattered about the kingdoms.
