Rerolled Character info

So this is mearly a question on Multiplay/known info.....Hilmeran was recently rerolles from fighter to cleric. Before he was rerolled he handed over all his equioment to another PC minus the three items and holy symbol. He was then rerolled....WOULD it be multiplay if Hilmeran BOUGHT his old gear back from said PC?

I don't know what the "official" response will be to this but I thought I'd point out in the Character Deletion help file it does say...

* Do not give your equipment away before deleting a character.

Alinor is quite right, this is both multiplay and outside of the spirit of recreation. Please advise whoever you gave that gear to, to destroy it. This would be the simplest solution.
