Ranged weapons and bonus damage roll

Post by Brelc » Sat Sep 30, 2017 1:48 am

What stat controls bonus damage roll on ranged weapons? I have always been curious on it no matter the stat/feat it always remains 0. what is the reasoning behind this?

Thanks,

Most bows don't get any damage from stats. An exception is composite bows, which gain your STR mod to their damage.

You can also increase damage roll on ranged weapons with a few select spells. Good hope bonus for example stacks with ranged damage too.

has this been fixed then? Last I checked I got no bonus even from composit bows.
I trained up double-edged bananas because the uber-plantain of doom I scored from the beehive quest was the best weapon in the game. Now it's being treated like a bug and they have gimped its damage! That's not fair! My character is ruined!

It's in the ruleset and from early editions even.
