First Edition had titles to indicate level ranks

One thing I've noticed in trying to form teams in the market square is how to convey how strong, what level, you are to the rest of the party. I have been training for twenty-one seasons! Not. I just gained three levels just this year. Anyway, i remember in the first edition that they had titles for the eighteen levels that were mapped out to play. Mages becoming arch mages, grand arch mages after the end game. I forget. It has been a decade or two since I've played any D&D.
Anyway, since the game goes up to around level fifty or so, maybe have a title encompass every five levels or so. You might be able to rip directly from the first edition books. I'd have to dig through some boxes to see if I still have mine.
The reason I thought of it again was Dragon magazines. Archers and monks were the classes i loved to play, and I especially remember the LG, LN, and LE monks had titles up to eighteen or twenty.
Anyway, here's hopin' this idea grabs peoples imagination and the game runs with it.
Thanks,
K
