The Church of Tempus would like to take this opportunity, now that the Starvation Festivities have finished, to remind all that though war may have grave consequences, battle can also be a bonding experience. As a confirmation of this reminder, we are proud to announce the first ever Waterdeep Fighting Championship wrestling tournament!

One and all are invited to join in. Plain leather armour and cesti will be provided to keep the fights fair. No weapons, no spells, no prayers. Pure fisticuffs, one-on-one. You'll be dispelled before the event begins, should you have any spells lingering about you.

Everyone with two feet and a heartbeat is welcome to enter. No guff, or you’re out.
Trash-talking is fine, though.

All entrants must sign up beforehand and pay a 10 platinum fee. Please mail your application and fee to Delphie, or deliver in person.

The prize is a purse of coins gathered from the entries, and you will be able to hold the Waterdeep Fighting Championship belt until you are challenged for it. (More details of title defenses to come after the event.)

. This will be done with 3 rounds each of spar with a pause for smotes after each round, followed by the rest in stun. Auto attacks (such as backstab) are fine, as well as kick and punch, but use of gouge or sap will disqualify you!

A clarification to the rules:

The simple armours provided by the church of Tempus will be all that competitors are to wear, save their holy symbols. This is a wrestling tournament, so you're expected to dress the part! Nothing else--no enchanted rings, amulets, or anything else of the like to give an unfair advantage. The only exception is if you got a mask from the Adventurer's Guild.

Legal moves:
- kicking
- punching
- automatic skills (i.e., backstab, dodge)

Illegal moves:
- stun
- bash
- sap
- gouge
- dirtkick

Perform an illegal move, get disqualified!
