OOC: Hello, I think I should cancel this! I do not think it would generate adequate interest and having met another Malarite, it might not be in the best spirit of the faith!

I thought it was a great idea, personally. Malar's is a pretty wide-ranging faith ethically, and this seemed a good way to involve more people with a somewhat more neutral-leaning show of his dogma.

Not that I'm even remotely an expert on Malar. But there are many different ways to roleplay faith in pretty much all the gods. Just ask a certain very dark Kelemvorite wizardess or a certain holy paladin who disagrees with much of her predecessors' religious views to the point of thinking them outright heracy.

Anyway, hope we see some more from Malar soon! Best of luck. :)

I agree with Areia, and if you host it somewhere other than Waterdeep Gottschalk might show up. =)

I, too, concur with Areia and Grenwyn above. I'm afraid the event is at a time difficult for me to attend, but if I may.. I'm not sure which point in particular wasn't in the spirit of the faith, but I do think it was entirely appropriate. One of the recent Malarite events I attended had a Hunt, and some sharing of personal hunts around a campfire after, which would be similar to this - so it doesn't seem out of line at all.

Either way, maybe you could have an adaptation of the existing event to marry the perspectives. Let us know if the event is still on!

Hi! I'm going to be the devil's advocate here.

I think you might find you feel more comfortable hosting this event after some more hours, levels and most importantly : roleplay with the community.

I enjoy and support the idea and think it will be great fun when YOU decide to run forward with it, but my advice would definitely be my above statement.

Chiming in as a viewer from the outside and one of those guys playing a filthy lawful goodie goodie.

I actually really like the idea, it seems in line with Malarite dogma (as an outsider, admittedly) and as Areia said, seems tenable and neutral enough for people not outright hostile to them to take part. Even the good guys like to hunt big game!

Give us the word, I look forward to it.
