The Church of Mystra is calling on everyone to come together to honor the Mother of All Magic and to also have some fun. Everything is possible through magic, and we would like to celebrate this by inviting everyone to research new spells. You may participate either in pairs, or as an individual. In the upcoming weeks, come up with an idea for a can present their ideas and prizes will be given in various categories. We will host a gathering at the House of Wonder, where everyone can present their ideas and prizes will be given in various categories.
Some submissions will even be selected to be sent to our researchers in Silverymoon to work out the finer details, and perhaps even see if She would grant us, the use of the spell. There is a very small chance She will allow this, though every effort in this area honors Her.
At the time of the gathering, people will be expected to provide for each submission:
+Name of the spell
+Why the spell should be researched
+What school of magic the spell would belong to
+What sphere the spell would be cast from
+Range of the spell
+Target of the spell
+Description of the spell
+Any restrictions
+Components for the spell and why those components
++One submission if you are participating individually
++People working in pairs may submit three spell ideas for consideration
++Arcane and divine magics are both welcome
++Please provide a written submission for each spell you wish to submit. If you cannot make the gathering, you can give your written submission to Jarah or Sir Stigr to be presented during the gathering.
The gathering will be held in the gardens at the House of Wonder in Waterdeep.
All those welcome in Waterdeep, and not an enemy of the church of Mystra are
welcome to participate. Food, beverages, and entertainment will be provided.
There will be a prize given for the crowd's choice of favorite submission, and the judges will also award a prize for their favorite submission for each school of magic.
+If you have any questions contact Sir Stigr Brandt, or Jarah Woodsmith.
