Tournament of the Dice!

People of the Realms, the time has come to trust your fate to a roll of the dice! The time for the Tournament of the Dice is drawing near!

People from all callings of life are called to participate in the tournament whether you fight with claw, sword, spell or prayer. All people are invited to participate unless you are an enemy to the church of Tymora.

Our tournament will be a little different. The tournament will begin with a volunteer or a name drawn from a hat if there is no volunteer. That person will be the first to roll the dice. Everyone interested in participating will roll the dice, and the first person to match our volunteers roll will be matched with the volunteer for the first round! At the beginning of every match, each competitor will roll the dice again to decide what handicap they will have. The handicaps will vary by the type of competitor you are and will vary in severity. The truly lucky will roll to find they get no handicap at all!

Examples of handicaps might be:
Warrior: Not able to use a weapon other than fists, or must use all light armor
Wizard: Only able to use defensive magics, only able to use five spells the entire match
Cleric: No defensive prayers, no magical trinkets
Rogues: Must use heavy armor, no special fighting skills (Disarming, dirtkicking...)

As you can see, the roll of the dice can have a big impact on how this all will play out! There will be betting and wagers placed at the time of the matches! Please contact the Luckbringer Niccele Galuchin if you are interested in participating or wish for further details.

The Tournament will be held outside of Waterdeep so everyone will be able to attend at this time.

(OOC Disclaimer: Ok. I don't care if people from different sides want to bicker and banter back and forth...glare at one another... but please, no fighting other than the matches at the tournament. Put on your big adventurer underpants and save the real fights for another time. This is going to be a safe space for goods and evils!)

If you are really interested in participating and this time does not work for you, we can move the tournament to a different time. If there is enough interest, we may also separated into two tournaments for different levels of experience. Good luck!

OOC: Hey guys! Sorry, I posted the wrong date for this. I possibly have something else going this Thursday unless this virus mess gets it cancelled. The date should have been for next Thursday.
The correct time is: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ ... 1=198&ah=2

Also, please let Niccele know if you intend to participate. We'll take walk up competitors, but it would be easier if we knew how many supplies to have on hand! Thanks!

REWARD:

Luckbringer Niccele is looking for mundane items that can double as weapons. Things like, brooms, frying pans, tree limbs... (OOC: They need to be coded as a weapon please).

She will pay five platinum for each item you bring. No duplicates please. She will accept items until the tournament begins.

Thank you everyone for coming! I wasn't expecting such a turnout! But that was a lot of fun.

The dice rolled in the favor of our champion, Holycoin Renea Bijoutier! She had a couple of rounds with no handicap at all, and then promptly set each of her competitors on fire.

Well done to everyone. We'll do this again! Woo!
