The ballroom in the temple of Sune will be set up all day on Halloween (And maybe late the night before!) to celebrate together and show off costumes!

A competition for the best costume concept will have a reward for first, second and third places. Send a letter to Selune with your votes!

Don't forget to send in costume requests, 1-2 words of description. I'll be making those during the mornings further in the week!

In addition this week leading up to the holiday:

Find candy corn around the realms for a prize! They will NOT be in easy spots like plains etc. They WILL be in areas with combat.

DO NOT HUNT FOR THESE BENEATH YOUR LEVEL LEAVE THE LOWBIE ZONES FOR LOWBIES

Collect candy corn throughout the week and earn potential prizes!


1000 candy corn: A +2 piece of armour of your choice (cloth fp etc w/e)
500 candy corn: A +2 weapon of your choice
250 candy corn: A endless decanter of your choice (milk, fruit juice, lemon tea, wine, ale - no renames)
100 candy corn: A +1 weapon of your choice
50 candy corn: A roll for a random trinket (no choice, you get what luck gives)
25 candy corn: A renamed amulet of communication to suit your PC (no input)

Make sure you check corpses for the candy, things like these items tend not to last on the ground (food items) so they're in inventories. Happy hunting!

Having a problem with the candy staying out. Code just kind of poofs it. I've tried several bandaids to this but nothing has worked.

From now on if you're out somewhere and I'm lurking you'll likely find candy. If you set up a casual event for a big hunt, you'll find candy or get a box in the mail later if someone sends me the group list.

If the who list is big enough I'll do flash hunts where I'll just drop singles all over the place or plant on foes.

I'll revisit my above numbers at the end of the week - but it wasn't meant to be easy to earn the big prizes so don't hold breath. :)

Send your candy and a note of what you want and your candy no earlier than MONDAY. I will not be filling anything until the week mornings.

This has been one of the best events ever. Right up there with Deck of Fate for bringing players together! I met folks I never played with before and it was fantastic!

Will unused candy have an exchange rate to star shards?

I was about for the start of the party before my internet went poof but ye it was fun times, maybe next time I can be about for the whole one of these things.
On candy rewards not to be a greedy meanie but I can't seem to fit 1000 candy into one box is it alright if we send multiple boxes?

I know I am echoing others but I really enjoyed this week. I wish I could have experienced more of it but last weeks of the month are quite busy for me (IRL "Corn" goals and all).

Lythos got to meet new people, smash some code and socialize in a party. Plus, costumes were really cool.
