Public Funerals

This thread is to announce funerals open to the public to attend.

The persons we say goodbye to have little or no family and friends to wish a proper goodbye, and so the Church of Kelemvor invites the faces of adventures to smile and cry for them.

Each funeral will have a different foundation depending on the person. Some will involve banquets or dances or raging parties. Some will be solemn, short and sweet. Some will involve puzzle, battles and tasks. Most will offer a favor of thanks for attending.

They will be held every other Sunday at or around noon PST unless otherwise noted. (Begining Sunday, December 5th).

There will be a post prior to Sunday with information about the lost being celebrated so the proper PC in your accounts can be brought, and said PC's can prepare properly.

You are welcome to roleplay as if you personally knew the deceased if it's especially fitting your PC might have.

Penelope Pearshaper

Penelope Pearshaper was a dressmaker from Daggerford. She supplied many gowns to the realms for balls and weddings. She was estranged from her family, who lived and worked in Thay. She mothered no children, and has been widowed a mere three months.

Locals say Penelope died of a broken heart.

Penelope loved the ocean and the sky. To celebrate we will meet on the coast west of Daggerford. We will wear dresses (and suits) and have a large picnic until night, when we release balloons to the sky in her honor.

Dazzling Dave is selling dresses and misc male garb.

The dresses are one offs, so everyone can be unique and not match.

If you're not attending the event please don't purchase a dress until the event is over.

Please don't purchase more than one until the event is over.

Captain Joesephe

Captain Josephe was charge to the Lady Silkwater from the ripe age of four. Yes, four. He worked as a deckhand scrubbing floors and delivering food during his youth and climbed the ladder of ranks until he was a Captain. The Lady Silkwater sailed too close to a hostile city, and was attacked in minimal, but Captain Josephe was a casualty.

A Deathlord will lead you to a pirate ship, where Captain's crew will be there to celebrate his life with any who attend.

Dave's will have pirate garb. Pirate Isles have garb.

Remember - Pirates are not 'good' - and we all have accounts full of PC's. <3

Forgive my slowness. Forum glitch.

Champion Charles

Bested in battle, the Champion Charles was a strong warrior of a southern tribe. His devotion was to Tempus. He had no family, only friends of the battlefield.

To honor his death, we will best the dragon who took the Champion's life.

Location will be south of Berdusk, in the plains.

All alignments are welcome.

Forgive me. Last Saturday early on my husband got potentially pancreatitis ill, so that Sunday I skipped. Then I spent my whole week monitoring and writing vitals for him while he was in pain and I simply *forgot* until 15 minutes past the normal hour this week.

He's feeling better, it's just been a bad week for a brain. I'll get us with a nice big fun one next week.

This event has run it's motivational course for me and I'll be retiring Pia and pursuing my next brain worm.

Thank you for everyone who attended.

If you want a PC funeral I'm still open to those per request.
