As caretaker of St. Jasper’s on the Rocks, Sir Elland Auverney of Ilmater is announcing a new initiative to benefit the children of the orphanage. St. Jasper’s is not always able to house all orphans in need under its roof, so the initiative seeks caretakers to provide a short-term safe home for our youngest children newly arrived, as well as mentors to spend some brief-but-intensive time taking some of our older children under their wing. Contact Sir Elland in-person or by Post to volunteer as a caretaker or mentor. Selected volunteers will be matched with a child of the orphanage in need and be provided some information about them. Applications from those with dark hearts will not be considered.
OOC: Participating in this program will result in being given a baby item (for caretakers) or child mob (for mentors) for a few days. These children will not become PCs. Each assignment will be time-limited, and only a certain number will happen at a time, but repeat volunteers are welcome.
Nurturers Needed: A St. Jasper's Initiative
Re: Nurturers Needed: A St. Jasper's Initiative
Thanks to all that have responded so far! It looks like we have our first set of volunteers lined up. Assignments will be going out for three days, so we'll next be taking applications after then.
Re: Nurturers Needed: A St. Jasper's Initiative
Sir Elland is pleased to report that St. Jasper's has found permanent homes for each of the wards who have been assigned to mentors so far. Thank you to all the mentors for their generosity with their time, and more importantly, with their caring.
(OOC: The first wave of kids will be leaving their mentors, thanks all for your participation so far!)

Excellent idea, thanks for all the thought and effort put into this.
Between the ringing of hammers in the hallowed halls a chant rises:
"Come brother ye sing with me. Ancient enemies, go cower, hide 'n flee! For dwarves be comin' fer ye!"
