Spell slots

I didn't know if I should post here or not, because I don't think it's a bug. But I was wondering how the Genasi and other planetouched are supposed to use their inborn gifts if they don't have any spell slots? :?

Might have been moved under abilities.

Type abilities and it should show you what your PC spell-like abilities are.

I typed "abilities" for my Aasimar, but it said I didn't have any. My witch light spell is under "spellbook" still, so I can't cast it anymore. This probably would be better placed under the bugs forum, but this seemed a more appropriate place. Just thought I throw that out there. :)

I think shapechange was taken out all together... I do not believe it is in the game anymore

No, shapechange is still in the game for druids, but not for rangers. Rhytania should be able to shapechange as a special ability.

Nods. I havent been able to shapechange into any form. In fact when I do go to shapechange it says that I cannot polymorph into that. I went down the list of forms and attempted each one still with no joy. I am wondering maybe its a conflict as I do not have the newly granted Polymorph Prayer learned yet?

Hopefully it is alright to bump this, since it's related! =)

I've been having the same issue as Rhytania did and was wondering if this was ever figured out.
I have full use of abilities to use, but when I try to shapechange it replies with: Huh?
I have gone down the listed creatures in 'help shapechange' and it continues to tell me, Huh? I do not have
the Polymorph Prayer learned, but as 'shapechange' is a druidic ability, I would think I would not have to know it to succeed. I also checked the helpfiles and it doesn't mention a connection to having to know the prayer before being able to use the ability. Thank you in advance for any ideas and help.

Have you trained shapechange as a skill? I can use the ability with the skill trained and haven't learned the polymorph prayer yet. I think it's working as it should.

I don't think you need to learn the skill to be able to use an ability. I have a fire genasi that has the ability produce flame, and he can cast this successfully and is a fighter so he does not have this skill/spell at all.

Are you using the INVOKE command? If so, what's the exact syntax you are trying to use? (What are you typing into the command line?)

Shapechange, and also turn undead, are class abilities. You have to train them before you can use them. Produce flame for fire genasi, and the others like that, are racial. Thus you don't have to train them.

Shapechange does not use the "Invoke" command.
You have to train the skill in it and then simply type "shapechange <animal> <adjective>.

For example:
shapechange dog large drooling
--will give you " A large drooling dog is here"

If you don't train the skill it will not work.
(I fully believe that this should be an ability and not a skill, though.)

Thank you all for the quick replies! Lirith and Zor got it spot on. I thought I had learned the skill, but went back, checked and Near hasn't. I'll get on that, which will more than likely solve the issue. (Should there be something in the helpfiles for silly people like me, which would echo what Nylo pointed out? Or is it more common knowledge?) Thanks again! =)

Added a bullet to that effect to the TURN, LAYONHANDS, and SHAPECHANGE helpfiles! Any others that need the same treatment? (Class skills with limited uses per day, such that they show up when you use the ABILITIES command?)
