Do I rightly assume that orcs cannot participate in this event?

Orcs used to be able to.. otherwise where would we buy War Elephants?

Or is this something completely different than the old tournaments?

Completely different. Those were Fighter's Guild Competition. This is just a player run/sponsored fighter's tourney.

It would have been a rather interesting subject of discussion IC, but as a note I will say that a follower of Gruumsh could qualify under the ideal the Tempurian honor, but those orcs who have killed non-combatants, assisted others in committing unhonorable acts or have willingly associated with characters that have committed atrocities, could not. (Same could be said of any other character regardless of their race)

I would appreciate punctuality all of those involved somehow in the tournament, and if someone is not able to make it say it beforehand if possible.

After the intial draw thanks to the help of Aveline, Fighter of lord Helm, these are the initial pairings:

Telnier Talmar - Aldren
Larethiel - Larsdingen
Nera, Warrior of Kelemvor - Lady Jaenoic, Holy Warrior of Suffering.
Braeck Bonesplitter, Hammer of War - Laerith
Roderick of Mystra - Enig, The Waggling Wizard
Selveem, Servant and Steel Fang of Tempus - Ketlic
Swynar Suok - Orplar, The Little Red Riding Hood

Because the odd number of participants and being the last participant that appeared in the draw, Hrosskell, The King in the North will automatically access to the next stage, although if a participant doesn't appear in the tournament he will take the missing place, in case more than one participant does not appear he will take the place of the first one was acknowledged that would not be able to assist.

I would like to apologize to everyone for having to have missed this. I didn't forget, but I had some important OOC things that needed my attention. I just got back home, I'm told I missed it. Thanks to everyone for coming to this and for Noreak setting this up.

Lots of thanks to all those that did come as assistants, participants or helped me running it! Without any of you this wouldn't have been possible!

The competition returns once again. In Noreak's absense I, Jarris Taril will set up another competition. The competition will be held at the same place, the temple of Tempus in Berdusk. Notify Jarris if you wish to join the competition. The winner of the last competition will not have to pay the fee to get join, and he will also not have to fight through the ranks. The winner of the fights will face the winner of the last tournament. If you seek details seek me out. I am also accepting offers for assistance in the running of the tournament. All the same rules apply as last time. This is also an opportunity for the hopefuls of Tempus to show themselves, and be recognized. Perhaps even begin there journey to becoming a follower. IMM support is welcomed! The fee will be split up between the prize and also to pay for the use of the temple. I cannot post a set date as of yet, but I am aiming for atleast three weeks out from this post. (OOC I will have a time posted in three days after consulting my boss at work to make sure my schedule is clear. If you want to help PM me so we can get together IC and figure it out. I ask that everyone notify me IC about joining the tourney, if you cannot seem to find me, PM me and we will set something up)

ICly only a few have approached Jarris concerning the tournament. It is coming up soon, and registration mut be made early, I have had no one step forward to help set up this event, so I need all the info I can get early to set up the fighting rounds, and get the prizes, and all that. So, please, we need more people, and we need them soon

Remember, you can PM me and we will find an IC time to get it set up, though I prefer just finding me but, I am willing to work with people on it

First of all thanks for changing the time. I appreciate that very much. Secondly, do all the same rules that Noreak posted above on this thread apply (only magic armor, etc)? Thanks in advance for the clarification and I look forward to this event.

Yes, all the same rules apply as what Noreak posted above. Though if anyone else wants to participate Jarris will need them to pay ASAP. I know I have not been on the last couple of days, but I have been in another state for work, and have not had the energy to get on. So far I have Ketlic. Chase. Zorinar. Roderick. Briek.Braeck as people that have paid the dues. I know Lysha, Harroghty, and Lae all want to participate, so I will need there dues as well. If there is anyone at all that I missed let me know. The location will be the same as last time. I can only offer a limited amount of healing, but I will do the best I can. Still I have had NO response for anyone offering to help, and I have worked 14 hour days all this past week, so I am quite exhausted. The tournament might run a little slower than before, so bear with me please. Thank you all for participating.
