I was told to post here after using ask
I have a priest that was recently faithed and the spells aren't showing up that are supposed to. The score sheet shows me as an initiate of the faith and I'm on the faith list but when I type spells it just shows me the basic list of spells. The domain spells aren't showing up but it lets me memorise them. And when I type spellbook it shows me the components.
I don't know if it has anything to do with this, but the faith is Lloth, if it matters

I recently had a drow priestess character faithed.

The spell "faerie fire" states a "holy symbol" is needed as a component. Before my priestess was faithed and wore only her "symbol of faith", she had no problem casting this spell. Now whenever I try to cast it I get the response "you lack the components for this spell." Wondering if it was a problem with the new symbol, I swapped them over:

You stop using a spider holy symbol.
You wear a symbol of faith as a symbol.
[my command was - cast fae student]
You begin to chant.
You lack the components for this spell.
[then trying - cast 'faerie fire' student]
You begin to chant.
You lack the components for this spell.

I'm happy to provide more info/logs if needed.

I'm not able to replicate this. Are you still having the problem?

Not anymore. I don't know if it's related, but her guild didn't show as "Cleric of Lloth" until I'd logged out and logged back in again. Her domain spells didn't appear until logging out and in again either. Her spells are working normally now.

Tested this one out today even though Peverell says his priestess is able to cast it just fine.

Test PC --> Faithed + Loved + Lloth's holy symbol yielded:

You begin to chant.
You lack the components for this spell.

Test PC --> Un-faithed + Loved + Lloth's holy symbol yielded:

You begin to chant.
A symbol of faith glows briefly.
A pale glow surrounds Benji as you complete your spell.

In this situation, my PC happened to be a cleric. Though, as I understand it, there isn't a class check? Maybe there is, but that wouldn't quite make sense considering I was able to successfully cast it under certain parameters.

I would suggest that this bug is confirmed and could use a comment from the code council.

I had the same problem with a cleric of Lloth viewtopic.php?f=51&t=9899

My main issues:
* Holy symbol didn't work as a component
* Domain spells weren't on spell list
* Score sheet didn't show guild as "Cleric of Lloth"

As far as I remember the "faith list" command DID have my character listed as an initiate straight away, but the other issues were only resolved by logging out and logging in again.

I just realized I can't move posts from the Unconfirmed, Confirmed, etc. subforums!

Could someone please move this back to the main Bug Reporting forum for me? (Then I can merge the two topics and move it all to confirmed.)

This might be specific to Clerics of Lloth, perhaps whatever is supposed to set their guild is not working properly?

Sorry all. I sort of scrambled the posts while merging these two topics...

Without going into too much detail...were the affected characters faithed through an imm RP or through the coded quest which faiths priestesses?

Mine was faithed via the coded quest in the Academy.

Confirmed this for manually-set Clerics of Lloth. Still testing the quested clerics. There may be a separate problem with the symbol (which logging in and out seems to correct.)

Ariala, did logging in and out eventually fix the problem for your Cleric?

That Lloth...She's always causing trouble.
