Tormish Quarterly, held twice yearly to confuse the Zhents

Post by Horace » Sat Nov 22, 2008 5:29 am

At the faith gathering tonight we spoke about real life monthly meetings with a typical lodge like Old Business / New Business format. There will be a minute taker and pledge of allegiance and all that good stuff. Basically just a gathering to keep IC concerns and tasks manned so storylines of our characters aren't just blown away with inactivity.

Right now I just I'm just looking for what days are best for your schedule. I have a rotating schedule so every day is exactly the same to me - so I understand if you have the kind of schedule you can't post on. /But/, if you do have a preferred day or time just slap it up here - we'll go with whatever the most can seemingly make.

And the good thing about this is that since it's an old/new business format, if you can't make the gathering but wish to acknowledge someone or bring up about how Helm sucks still, you can just shoot a PM (courier) to Harroghty or I, and we'll make sure it gets on to whoever will be there.

I prefer Sundays, since it's already my holy day and I can keep it straight like that ;) Get yourself prettied up for the Debt of Dereliction Dating Auction!
Listen up! People pay good money to see this movie! When they go out to a theater they want cold sodas, hot popcorn, and no monsters in the projection booth! Do I have to come up there myself? Do you think the Gremsters can stand up to the Hulkster?

Sorry, did you say people should tell you if they wanted to talk about how the Hulk sucks still and couldn't make it?

Ok ok, Helm insults can wait until the meeting and off of the boards.

But I'm really interested in making Torm the most active faith in the game. And if we all take our vitamins, and say our prayers, like the Hulkster demands of us...I think it's possible. So bring it other god people, we're challenging you to a dance off.

Helm insults? Tsk tsk tsk... But anyway Melia can be there on pretty much any day at any time. A lot of times unexpected things will come up during the day, like I'll have to watch my nieces and nephews, but I'm usually free. You are guaranteed to have me there in the evening times past 8 Central. You really don't have to worry about my schedule, I'll make it so I can be there whenever. But remember this... Helm sees all, know this and be judged.

Sundays are an easy day to coordinate for me. I am not certain where I will be working next month but Sundays should be easy -barring some kind of field operations.

I will keep you posted, and I appreciate you taking this on, Horace. We'll talk more IC about it probably.

Sundays vary quite a bit for me. Usually I open on Sunday, so I'm off around 4-6 MST, but on occasion I will work a mid-shift or close and not be home until late. Tuesdays after 8 MST and Fridays after 6 MST will be my most consistent times to play. I'll keep in touch so we can plan accordingly.

Can I come? :D

Sorry about not being around much, and my input will be minimal on this, but I can make Tuesdays work, from 4pm EST to 2am EST. The comp labs close after that.

Of course you can come. (Whatever that jerk Tyson says.) I am not opposed to a weekday time and date for next month but I will need to check out my schedule closer to the day.

Sounds like Tuesdays are now Taco Torm Tuesdays for us (do we have any mazticans to bring the food?). We'll probably also set up a weekend time during the day so the euros can contribute without having to be note passers for all of time.

Right now let's just tentatively shoot Tuesday night whenever Athon shows, and we'll go over how the meetings will be formatted. From what I've seen of our group roleplay it's rather informal, so I'm sure there won't be much problem at all.

New Orders of business:
A) How to tactfully address an NPC your GM chuckles about and says "I spent eight hours rolling this guy up"
B) Best last words vote "What do you mean how many hit points do I have" or "Why is the man speaking in sign language?"
C) 80's Karaoke and pie

You wanna do this sometime this week? I cannot make it tomorrow (my buddy's birthday), but it would be cool to do it before everyone splits to the winds for the holidays. I am free most evenings this week (except tomorrow, naturally).

Edit: I also cannot make it on Wednesday until later in the evening.

My only final that day is in the morning, so I should definitely be able to make it.

I can make it. And those who can't make it will be docked attendance points...let that be a lesson to you!

We'll do the Friendly Arms Inn. Rendezvous downstairs at the counter initially.
