Mount Idea

I'm not sure if such a feature exists on this MUD [or any MU* to be honest, but it sounds cute] but I was thinking that if you have a mount, and you're riding it beyond it's limit [< 0% mv (currently impossible?)], it should begin to sap great amounts of the mount's HP. That way, if you don't pay attention to how your mount is doing, you could ride it to death.

Currently, the mount refuses to go any farther and sits down when it reaches 0% stamina. This could still work if you wanted to imagine how it could be applied at lower levels of stamina though.

But realistically*, horses can be ridden to death before they refuse to move and seat themselves. It would require a bit of coding, of course, but implementation wouldn't be difficult... That is, if the immortals think it's a reasonable or good idea.
* I know it's a fantasy game. I KNOW.

I love this idea. Horses should be able to be ridden to death - I've always had to kill my horse whenever it stamina'd out. I'm not being facetious, I really do like this idea.
Though the priority of it I think is low. But if it's an easy change (less than 5 minutes) I think it'd rock.

At least it would reflect that not everybody entertains caring, loving relationships to their horses.
*cries a little* the poor fellows...

I like it, as long as there is an echo to tell players when their mount is out of stamina.

If we go ahead with this, the likely fatal impact on the PC in the case of a flying mount should also be considered. (If you try to fly your griffon into the ground...you'll likely be buried with it, as you both crash from the skies!)

Oh, very clever. I like that.
