Elven Priest Class

There is a catch during the alignment phase of creating an Elf Priest, that forces you to pick NG or CG with the explanation that Corellon Clerics can only be those two alignments. First off, CN should also be an option as well especially for the Wild Elf race.
But more imporantly, an Elf Cleric shouldn't be pigeon holed into only playing Corellon - they could be a priest of another elf god, or a priest of any Major Pantheon god. The major pantheon gods hold no racial preference, and there are many instances of elven adventurers have chosen to follow such in canon. It's rare in elves as a whole, it is not rare at all for elves who have chosen to become adventurers.
I posted this because I tried to create a Wild Elf cleric of Corellon and was forced into those two alignments. It doesn't make sense, and shouldn't exist in the character creation portion of the game. If the Corellon FM doesn't want to accept anything but NG/CG then that's one thing - but forcing alignment based on race and class so strictly that it's down to 2 options, isn't good for the game.
---Edited to add: I imagine this is some old code, from a long time ago. By the rules commonly used now, it no longer applies.
"Elven priests must be neutral good or chaotic good to follow Corellon.
Anything else would require a special roleplay application.
Special roleplay applications for other elven priests are not being taken at this time."
How the heck would an Elven Druid of Mielikki be a special roleplay?
